As 2018 is fast approaching my intention is to look at how the world is unfolding around us and what it looks like from a Christian perspective. As I look back at the happenings of 2017, I am dismayed at the state of my country, the United States of America. I see hatred in every corner. It seems as if anyone speaks for a moral stand or even worse, a biblical stand on an issue, they are viewed as being hateful and evil.
Unfortunately the world believes that we are attempting to “shove our view down their throat”, when in fact we are trying to educate them on the eternal ramifications of their life choices. It is for them to decide what to do with it.
I will not even attempt to discuss the political events unless they collide with a biblical perspective. However, I see the political landscape as one that is leaning farther and farther away from God, which is a sure (historically) way to bring about destruction.
