Fishing
“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

In attempting to share the Gospel with family and friends, I have more often than not found myself loosing the discussion to unbelief, not caring and in some cases outright anger. I truly desire to share with these people but was not sure how to get them to listen. I had been praying for God to show me how to accomplish this goal. One morning I awoke with the clear impression that God had instructed me to write a book. I was amazed at how easy it is to self publish a book. I was even more amazed at how easy it was for me to do the actual writing. As I sat in front of my computer, the thoughts and words began to flow with little effort on my part.
Fishing is written in a format book that explains in simple terms various topics, each laid out in it's own chapter.
The chapters are:
1. WHAT I BELIEVE
In this chapter I simply explain what I believe in respect to the topics discussed in the following chapters.
2. THE BIBLE
This chapter looks at the origin and makeup of the Bible as well as it's authenticity.
3. GOD
GOD is a chapter about non other than God. We examine the Old Testament God and the New Testament God and explain how we can know that they are the one and the same God.
4. JESUS
We explore the divinity of Jesus in this chapter.
5. PROPHESY FULFILLED BY JESUS
This chapter allows the reader to look at specific scripture prophesies about Jesus, and then the scripture verses that show the fulfillment of those prophesies. We also look at the odds of one person fulfilling the prophesies.
6. SALVATION
This chapter brings it together for the unbelieving reader. We discuss various aspects of sin and our need for salvation and a Savior. The reader is lead to the point where they can make a profession of faith and ask for forgiveness. We also provide good advice on what steps they should take after accepting Jesus as Savior, and point them to some helpful resources.
7. END TIMES -UNFULFILLED PROPHESY
We take a brief look at what is ahead for both the believer and the unbeliever by discussing the Rapture and the Tribulation.
8. CLOSING COMMENTS
A few personal comments to the reader and contact information for those who may wish to contact me with questions.
9. REFERENCE MATERIAL
A brief list of web sites, books etc. that can be helpfull to the new believer and/or the questioning unbeliever.
